Brandan Scott Hall, age 49, of Ivel, KY passed away at home on August 3, 2025.
He was the loving devoted son of Jean Layne Hall. Brandan lived his life defined by his faith, integrity and service to the United States Probation Service and his family.
He started his career with the United States Probation Service as an intern while in college. He moved up to become senior officer of the Pikeville, KY office retiring in May 2024 after 26 years of faithful service.
Brandan gave 120% in everything he done. He always helped the less fortunate and elderly.
He is survived by his loving mother Jean who loved him more than the air that he breathed. His grandmother Glema Layne, aunts Dee Dee Thacker, Donna Hughes and Judy Wood, his baby cousin, who he adored and called his baby sister Chloe Jean. His best friends Brent Scalf and Brian Mullins, and all his family that he called nieces and nephews and many of the cousins and family members on the Hall side of the family.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Donald Layne, whom he adored, and his father Scott Hall.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Layne Cemetery, Betsy Layne, KY, visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
