Obituary

Bossie Hunter Hall passed from this world on April 29, 2020, after fighting illnesses for several years. She was 90 years young, and acted like she was much younger. She always had a lively and unbeatable spirit that will live on forever. She spent the last 3 years at Riverview Health Care Center, where she was greatly beloved by all.

Bossie Hall was born to Ervin Hall and Lakie Frances Hamilton Hall Stephens on Feb. 18, 1930 in Blue Moon, KY. On Feb. 12, 1945, she married Oliver Hunter and they had a total of 12 children in that union. The names are: Gary {deceased}, Gregory {Sandy}, Raffel{deceased}, Jennifer, Sherry {Mike} Swift, Elmetta {Jim} Sapp, Timothy, Pamela {deceased}, Patrick, Nathan {Louann}, Christopher {Julie}, and Ryan.

On May 23, 1981 Oliver passed away from cancer.

In July of 1984, Bossie married Mack Kidd Jr., and they lived happily till his death in May, 2006.

Bossie was a member of the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church for over 65 years. She loved her church and went whenever she could go, working at fundraising and being a servant for God. She loved to cook for her family and for her church and took many dishes to each special fellowship meeting at church.

Bossie was always a happy, positive influence on all who met her. She is leaving a great legacy with her entire family and friends, and will be remembered for her wisdom, compassion, love and knowledge.  She taught us all a lot about taking care of each other and about how to live life for the lord.

Besides her heartbroken children, she leaves behind to mourn her 21 loving grandchildren, at least 42 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great- grandchildren.

Also left behind are 4 sisters, Berniece Westfall, Bonnie Stephens, Betty Humble, Barbara Parsons, and a brother, Delbert Stephens. A sister, Peggy Bentley
preceded her in death.

Bossie also leaves many friends and acquaintances that love and admire her.  She was a virtuous woman and love the Lord first and foremost, and loved all her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Private Family Funeral service will be conducted Saturday at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY, with burial to follow in the Hunter Cemetery, Honaker, KY.
