Bonnie Hall Obituary

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Hall, a beacon of warmth and family devotion, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 76 in Lexington, KY. Born on February 6, 1949, in Pike County, KY, Bonnie's life was a testament to love, resilience, and the joy of family.

Bonnie was the cherished daughter of the late Ervin and Irene Moore, who instilled in her the virtues of kindness and generosity that would define her character. She shared a lifetime of love and companionship with her loving husband, Tommy Hall, who remained her steadfast partner in all of life's adventures.

A devoted mother, Bonnie's legacy lives on through her children: her daughter Melissa Hudkins (Julian), her son Mark Fannin (Angel), her stepson Duran Hall (Mary Beth), and her stepson Larry Hall (Angela).

Bonnie's role as a grandmother was one of her most treasured. She was blessed with a host of grandchildren who were the light of her life: Kyle Hudkins, Garrett Fannin, Morgan Henderson, Jacob Smith, Noah Smith, Katie Hall, Trey Hall, Nicholas Hall, Nathan Hall, and TJ Hall. Each one held a special place in her heart, and Bonnie's influence will undoubtedly shape their lives for years to come.

She is also survived by her sister, JoAnne Hintz (Don), who will miss her dearly. Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter, Krissy Smith, and brother, Gary Hatfield, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.

Bonnie was an accomplished teacher, retiring after 25 years with a master’s degree and Rank I degree. She was a non-traditional student, going back to school and getting her bachelor’s degree at the age of 36, while raising an active family of teenagers at the same time. This feat, along with her talent for teaching, gained her admiration from her family and colleagues alike.

Bonnie was a long-term active member of Shepherd Memorial Presbyterian Church. She continued her passion from teaching even here, where she taught Vacation Bible School to all those willing to learn. She also took an active part in directing performances and plays for the church, adding to the joys of the church.

When not teaching at a school or church, Bonnie had many other passions she would pursue. She loved traveling, having gone to all 50 states with her husband and going overseas with her daughter to visit London. When she was home, she loved working in her garden, baking for her family and friends, or reading a good book.

She also loved decorating her home, especially for the holidays. Bonnie wanted every person to feel loved and welcomed for every holiday, no matter how small.

Bonnie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, loving personality, and her unwavering support for her family and friends.
