Bobbie Jean Phillips, age 91 of Lexington, formerly of Floyd County, widow of the late Charles Phillips, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026 in the Baptist Health, Lexington, KY. She was born October 22, 1934 in Floyd County, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Nancy Nunnery James. She and her husband owned and operated Sandy Valley Monument and Building Stone.
She is survived by two daughters: Sandra Brooks, Lexington, KY and Karen Harvey, TN one sister; Jackie James (Ernest) Jenkins, Lexington, KY, six grandchildren; Breann Bradley, Brandis Bradley, Barrett Brooks, Brandt (Charis) Brooks, Brittany Harvey and Kelly Harvey, nine great grandchildren; Lakynn Bradley, Ryleigh Bradley, Beau Brooks, Lilly Brooks, Magnolia Brooks, Gage Brewer, Olivia Brewer, Addalee Zeigler and Ryann May, one great-great grandchild; Jackson.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Debbie Bradley, two sons-in-law, Mike Brooks and Johnny Bradley and one brother; Don James.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
