Obituary
Billy Ray Hughes, age 82, of Martin, KY, husband of Darlene Hunter Hughes, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at his residence. He was born March 31, 1940 Floyd County, KY, a son of the late Sam R. and Polly Ousley Hughes. He attended the Graceway United Methodist Church, he was a Mason and a retired businessman.
In addition to his wife, Darlene, he is survived by one son; Samuel Ray (Tina) Hughes, Martin, KY, one daughter; Lynn (Wesley) Case, Martin, KY, one granddaughter; Shauna (Jared) Harlow, two great grandson; Quinn and Paxton Harlow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson; Samuel Jordan Hughes, two brothers; Curtis and Harold Hughes, four sisters; Thelma Robinson, Phyllis Shepherd, Emma Jean Derossett and Marcella Phillips.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Harlow and Chad Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
