Billy Ray Hayes

Billy Ray Hayes, age 89 of Eastern, KY, husband of the late Wanda F. Hicks Hayes, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at his residence.  He was born February 16, 1935 in Floyd County, KY, a son of the late John W. and Rhoda Gearheart Hayes.  He was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from KY-WV Gas Company as a Well Operator and Compressor Station Operator.

He is survived by his son; Dr. Stan (Krista) Hayes, Eastern, KY, two grandchildren; Rachael C. (Travis) Tubb and William S. Hayes.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; John W. Hayes Jr., Randolph Hayes, Gordon Hayes and Carl Hayes, one sister; Allene Combs.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Prater officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
