Beverly Kaye Martin-Newsome

Beverly Kaye Martin-Newsome, age 55, of Martin, KY, wife of Steve Newsome, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington, KY.  She was born March 10, 1968 in Martin, KY, a daughter of the late Ed Martin-Lace Hicks and Ola Mosley Martin Hicks.  She was a Faculty Support Assistant for Big Sandy Community and Technical College.

In addition to her husband, Steve, she is survived by two sisters; Stephanie Martin (Danny) Walton, Virginia Beach, VA and Charlene Hicks (Michael) Dingus, Orange Park, FL, four special nieces; Kelli Cremeans, Lexington, KY, Kara Gray, Winchester, KY, Natalie Faulkner, Stanton, KY and Blair Hall, Lexington, KY.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Sherrill R. Hicks, two sisters; Darleen Hicks Blanton and Franceen Hicks Crum.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Arnold Turner Jr., officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, under direction of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
