Betty Lou Allen, age 82, of Harold, KY, widow of Walter Allen, died Wednesday June 8, 2022 in the Pikeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born December 23, 1939 in Harold, KY a daughter of the late Estill and Laura Hall Salisbury, Betty was a retired cook, homemaker and member of Toler Creek Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Phillip (Charlotte) Allen, Eastern, KY, Dexter (Janie) Allen, Salyersville, KY, one daughter; Ladean (Roger) Kidd, Honaker, KY, one brother; Charles Salisbury, Harold, KY, three sisters; Elawese Pierce, Margaret D Hall, and Dinah Anderson, all of Harold, KY, nine grandchildren; Anthony Allen, April Allen, Blake Little, Dale Allen, Alexandria Palladino, Kayla Allen, Kyle Allen, Cole Allen, Natashia Blackburn, ten great grandchildren; Destiny Kierstead, Jadyn Bentley, Carson Allen, Kinley Allen, Kadence Helton, Brantley Halbert, Kimber Halbert, Ava Little, Lilah Grace Blackburn, Ezekiel Palladino, and one great great grandchild; Avery Kierstead.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Christopher and Eric Allen, one daughter; Eullean Marlowe, five brothers; George F Salisbury, James D Salisbury, John H Salisbury, Everett Salisbury, David Salisbury, one sister, Rosa L Salisbury, and two grandchildren; Jordan Allen and Mark Bentley.
Funeral service for Betty Lou Allen will be conducted Sunday, June 12, at 4 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with Joe Meade and James Meade presiding. Burial will follow in the Salisbury Family Cemetery, Toler Creek-Harold, KY. Visitation is from 2 PM until the time of service Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
