Ally Davis Obituary

Allyson Blair "Ally" Davis, age 21, of Banner, KY, daughter of Barry and Betty Taylor Davis, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 in Walton, KY.  She was born April 28, 1999 in Montgomery, AL.

 

Ally was a member of the Allen Baptist Church, a student in the BFA Program at Northern Kentucky University, a singer with the KY-Opry Jr. Pros, an actress with Jenny Wiley Theatre, co-chair of the NKU Cabaret Show.  She also was elected 2017 Basketball Homecoming Queen, PHS 2017 superlatives were “Most Likely to be a Comedian”, “Most Likely to be Famous” and “Most Likely to be the next American Idol”
She was awarded 2017 Elizabeth Frazier Memorial Scholarship, and KMEA Distinguished Soloist Freshman, sophomore, Junior and Senior year. All State Choir 2014 and 2016, Member of PHS Dance Cats all four years of school, PHS Honor Choir and Dance Etc. Elite teams 2006-2014. During her acting career she portrayed Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Susan in Tick, Tick....Boom!, Ariel in the Little Mermaid, Lindsay in Godspell, Dorcas in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Rosalie Mullins in School of Rock, Georgeanne in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress and Vivienne in Legally Blond.

 

In addition to her parents, Barry and Betty she is survived by her maternal grandmother; Ruth Ann Taylor, paternal grandparents; Gene and Norma Davis, uncles and aunts; Brett (Ginny) Davis, Craig (Gwen) Davis, Kenneth (Juanita) Taylor and Don (Dianne) Taylor Jr., cousins; Elizabeth, Alex, Olivia, Leigh Ann, Joey and Amanda, a multitude of other family and friends also survive.

 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather; Donald Taylor and one uncle; Ron Taylor.

 

Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mountain Arts Center, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service Saturday at the MAC, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
