Alice Eva (Thornsbury) Gibson

Alice Eva Gibson, age 95, of Langley, KY, widow of Russell Gibson, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at her residence.  She was born May 10, 1924 at Mullins Branch, Kite, KY, a daughter of the late Bobby and Annie Bates Thornsbury.  She was a member of the Garrett First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons; David Gibson, Langley, KY and Lanny (Bridgette) Gibson, Drift, KY, six daughters; Gloria (Ralph) Marcum, Greenup Co., KY, Libby (Larry) Easterling, West Liberty, KY, Patty (Mike) Fitzpatrick, Garrett, KY, Jane Brock, Langley, KY, Tammy Lafferty, Langley, KY and Jenny (Mike) Taylor, Prestonsburg, KY, 29 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, her dog, Honey, special caregiver; Earnestine Hall, sister-in-law; Stella Martin, two special nieces; Billie and Mary Sue, a host of other family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one son; Randy Gibson, two daughters; Vicky Lynn Gibson and Alta Jean Chapman, one great grandson; Jeffery Addleman and her dog; George Bush.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gibson Family Cemetery, Langley, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Wednesday with a church service at 7 p.m., under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
