Adron Newsome

Adron Newsome, age 94 of Forest City, North Carolina and former longtime resident of West Liberty, KY, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at his residence. 

Adron was born January 8, 1926 in Grethel, KY and was a son of the late T. N. and Ella Newsome.  He worked most of his life as a carpenter and he honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in the Pacific Theater.  He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as raising animals. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eulavene Adkins Newsome, as well as his brothers, Avery, Philip, and Fred Newsome.

Survivors include his son, Adron Michael Newsome and wife Elizabeth of Forest City, grandsons, Jonathan Michael Newsome, Dakota Tyler Newsome, two step-grandchildren, Andrew Gage Shelton, Gavin Brock Shelton and a great-grandchild, Amelia Morgan Newsome.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Hall Funeral Home in Martin, KY.  The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour.  Interment will follow in the Newsome Family Cemetery.
