Violet (Coburn) Allen

     Violet Coburn Allen, age 98, of Langley, KY, widow of Jacob Turner, Jr and James Edgar Allen, passed away on Thursday, December 7 , 2017 in the Knott County Health and Rehab Center, Hindman, KY. She was born December 4, 1919, a daughter to the late John and Pearl Marshall Coburn. She was a member of  KY Retired Teachers Association and a member of  Graceway United Methodist Church.

     She is survived by two sons: Nick D. (Corene) Turner and Jimmy Lynn (Ann) Allen, three grandchildren; James David (Pegeen) Turner, Barron and Jon Allen, eight great grandchildren; Taylor, James, Noel, Annabelle, Jonna and Paula Allen and James Justin and William Joseph Turner.

     She was preceded in death by both husbands, parents and one brother; Basil Coburn and one sister; Madge Coburn.

     Funeral service for Mrs. Allen will be conducted on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Harlow officiating. Entombment will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation 5 - 8 PM on Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
