Vaughn Watson

Vaughn Watson, age 70, of Dana, KY, husband of Joann Kidd Watson, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his residence.  He was born May 7, 1947 in Dana, KY, a son of the late Sidney an Ola Boyd Watson.  He retired as a state mine inspector, was a member of the VFW and the NRA.

In addition to his wife, Joann, he is survived by two sons; Jeff Watson, Dana, KY and Danny Paul (Charity) Watson, Winchester, KY, two daughters; Denise (ReRun) Prater, Hueysville, KY and Mary Ann (Chris) Stanley, Betsy Layne, KY, three sisters; Frankie Casey, Baltimore, MD, Bonnie Cassidy and Betty Gail Reynolds both of Betsy Layne, KY, thirteen grandchildren; Keisha, Dani, Ashley, Emily, Jonathan, Alexander, Dylan, Jessica, Taylor, Braydon, Brianna, Allie and Emily and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Grady, Shadery and Wade Watson, four sisters; Nita Jean Baker, Wanda, Cecila and Gonda Watson.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Salem Old Regular Baptist Church, Dana, KY, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers and Dr, Mark Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow Watson Family Cemetery, Betsy Layne, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday at the church, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Betsy Layne Chapter 169 of the DAV.
