Sylvia Ruth Heintzelman, age 93, 0f Martin, KY, widow of Daniel T. Heintzelman, died Wednesday, October 16. 2019 at her residence. She was born February 9, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI, a daughter of the late Minard and Catherine Bolthouse VanStedum. Sylvia was a missionary, a member of the Calvary Undenominational Church, attended Graceway United Methodist Church, and was active in the Scripture Memory at Mountain Mission.
She is survived by one son, David L. (Clydia) Heintzelman, Martin, two daughters; Ruth Ann (Tipton) Heintzelman-Wyatt, Milton, GA, Kathy (Anthony) Heintzelman-Lafferty, Prestonsburg, three grandchildren; Greta Heintzelman Slone, David Cory Heintzelman, Gerald Gibson, and eight great grandchildren; Kenidee Slone, Caeli Heintzelman, Aidan Heintzelman, Thomas Arrow Heintzelman, Eliza Heintzelman, Sophia Heintzelman, Ezekiel Heintzelman, and Samuel Slone.
Funeral service for Sylvia Ruth Heintzelman will be conducted Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Roy Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements. Visitation is 10 AM to 10 PM Friday and 10 AM until 2 PM on Saturday at Hall Funeral Home.
