Sintha (Kidd) Akers

Sintha Kidd Akers, age 102, of  Betsy Layne, KY, widow of Jeff Lee Akers, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born July 25, 1915, in Honaker, KY, a daughter of the late Frank and Lizzie Damron Kidd. She was a retired custodian in the Wellington School District, Wellington, OH and a member of the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son: "Bud" (Sharon) Akers, Betsy Layne, KY, two daughters; Hazel Cole, Wellington, OH and Christine Kelly, Betsy Layne, KY, one half-brother; Frank "Junior" Kidd, Dana, KY, 17 grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, 50 great-great grandchildren, one step great-great grandchild and two great-great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband Jeff, she was preceded in death by one son: Ronald Akers, two daughters; Lilla Coffman and Emma Lou Clark, one brother; Lee Kidd, one half-brother; Truman Kidd, three sisters; Laura Yates, Cindy Adkins and Mollie Hamilton, one grandchild and two great grandchilden.

Funeral service for Mrs. Akers will be conducted on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Tracy Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation is after 1:00 PM on Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
