Ruthene Hall Howell

Ruthene Hall Howell, age 85, of McDowell, KY widow of Dee "Junior" Howell, died Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born April 14, 1932 in McDowell, a daughter of the late Elisha and Millie Gayheart Hall. Ruthene was a retired LPN having worked at Our Lady of the Way Hospital, Martin, KY and the McDowell Clinic for 37 years, and member of the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church (IBA), McDowell.

 She is survived by one daughter, Connie (Kenneth) Webb, Harold, KY, four grandchildren; John (Jessie) Stumbo, James Scott (Kim) Stumbo, Jennifer Nichole Chambers, Ken Earl Webb, and five great grandchildren; Blake Stumbo, Logan Stumbo, Madison Shepherd Stumbo, Amber Grace Stumbo and Hunter Stumbo. One great-great grandchild Gunner Stumbo. 

In addition to her husband, Ruthene was preceded in death by her son Jimmie Howell, four brothers; Herman, Elmer, Haskel and Melvin Ray Hall and two sisters; Edith Lawson and Ruby Hobson.

Funeral service for Ruthene Hall Howell will be conducted Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Clinton Moore and Jimmy Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
