Roy Lee Compton

     Roy Lee Compton, age 63, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Floyd County, KY, husband of Peggy Ann Gibson Compton, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at his residence.  He was born May 1, 1954 in Floyd County, a son of the late Palmer and Christine Huffman Compton.  He retired from Jenny Wiley State Park as Maintenance Superintendent, was Chief of Allen Volunteer Fire Department for many years and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his wife Peggy, he is survived by two daughters; Pamela Chastine Compton (Jimmy) Branham, Auxier, KY and Royce Leigh Compton, Palm Coast, FL, one brother; Terry Compton, Nashville, TN, one sister; Jerri Ann Stratton, Buckeye, AZ, three grandchildren; Emma Grace Compton, Addison Faye Branham and Preston Tyler Compton-Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one step son; Keith Douglas Kidd and one brother; Joe Palmer Compton.

Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with BJ Blackburn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
