Patty Hicks Collins

Patty Hicks Collins, age 86, of Prestonburg, KY, formerly of Wayland, KY passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 in the Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born April 24, 1932 in Wayland,  a daughter of the late Robert and Monnie Murray Hicks. She was a Court Reporter, a retired Social Worker and a member of  the Rising Sun Ministries Church.

She is survived by one son: Jody Shannon Collins, Bloomfield, CT, two daughters; Jayne (Darrell) Patton and Annie (Gerald) Frasure, both of Prestonsburg, KY, one brother; Shannon Hicks, Dickson, TN, 7 grandchildren; Denver P.S. and Angelena Collins, Darrell Ray, Brandon Lee and Trevor Patrick Patton, Rachel Ellen Krueger and Brayden M. Newsome and ten great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Denver Brady Collins, three brothers; Robert, Jack and Wendell Hicks and one sister; Merle Prater.

Funeral service for Mrs. Collins will be conducted on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Mayo Cemetery, Prestonsburg. Visitation is 5-9 PM on Monday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
