Ova Price Obituary


Ova Hall Price, age 90, of Surgoinsville, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019, at home which was her wish. She was born October 12, 1928 to parents Will and Birdie Hall. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Surgoinsville. Ova was a child of God, a loving mother and daughter and a devoted wife to Jack.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Admiral Miller (Jack) Price; brothers, Verlis and Diamond Hall; sisters, Ivy Ratliff and May Combs.

 

Survivors are son, Admiral Gene Price and wife Donna, daughter, Doris Rogers and husband Morris, son, Harold Scott Price; sister, Mildred Blanton; brother, Alfred Hall; grandchildren, Gina, Chad, Brandi, Morissa; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Logan, Preston, Caleb, Chloe, Jack, Morrison, Jonathan, Preston D.; great-great-grandchild, Chase; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family would very much like to thank all who visited and prayed for her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hawkins County Humane Society, 5180 Highway 11W, Rogersville, TN 37857.

 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.

 

Graveside services will follow at 2:30 pm in Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tecky Hicks officiating.
