Nello James Francis

Nello James Francis, age 99, of Garrett, KY, husband of the late Gladys Marie Bellomy Francis, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, KY.  He was born January 25, 1920 in Garrett, KY, a son of the late Bill and Giulia Ierace Francis.  He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Allen, KY, a World War II Navy Veteran and retired office manager from EKCEP. 

He is survived by his son; James Frankie (Peggy) Francis, Garrett, KY, daughter; Susan Francis, Garrett, KY,  four brothers; Ernest Francis, Somerset, KY,  Danny Francis, Garrett, KY,  Maryland Francis, Blufton, OH and Randall Francis, Georgetown, KY, one sister; Julia Stansberry, Lexington, KY, three grandchildren; Jamie (Charlie) Martin, LeAnn (Eric) Hall and Justin Slone, six great grandchildren; Logan, Gavin, Leslie, Gracie, Emorie and Luke, three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by six brothers; Sylvester, Truly, Winchester, Chilistin, Sterling and Bill Francis Jr., one sister; Phila Mae Kane and one great grandchild; Lance Slone.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Osborne officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is from 6 until 10 p.m. Thursday and all day until 10 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
