My condolences to Melissa’s loved ones, and may the promises from the Holy Scriptures comfort and support you through this time of sorrow. Psalms 34:18 mentions that Jehovah God is close to the broken hearted, and saves those who are discoraged. He will wipe away the tears from all faces and death will be no more as told in Revelation 21:4. May you have peace of mind and heart.
