Mary "Merle" Lee (Waddles) Johnson

Mary Lee "Merle" Johnson, age 85, of Bypro, KY widow of Charlie Johnson, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 in the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville. She was born August 8, 1934 in Floyd County, KY a daughter of the late Greely and Liza Strange Waddles. Merle was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Michael Keith (Jennifer) Johnson, Mt. Sterling, KY one grandson; Shawn Michael Johnson.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Corbett Waddles, and three sisters; Leslie Knowlton, Louise Tackett and Vera Patty Belcher.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Buckingham Cemetery, Bevinsville, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
