Marie (Mitchell) Mynhier

Marie Mitchell Mynhier, age 89, of Martin, KY, widow of Walter R. Mynhier, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center,  Prestonsburg, KY.  She was born February 24, 1929 in Little Mud Creek, KY, a daughter of the late Jim and Martha Mitchell.  She was a member of the Martin Freewill Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a homemaker.

She is survived by one son; Fred R. "Rebob" Mynhier, Martin, KY, one daughter; Vicki Chaffin, Harrisburg, NC, like a daughter; Renee Thornsberry, Martin, KY, seven grandchildren; Shannon Mynhier, Jeremy Mynhier, Kim Mynhier, Auburn Mynhier, Stacy Chaffin, Steven Chaffin and Stuart Chaffin, eleven great grandchildren; Chad Mynhier, Alyssa Mynhier, Adalyn Mynhier, Aiden Mynhier, Holly Mynhier, Payton Mynhier, Molly Chaffin, Megan Chaffin, Brian Chaffin, Ryan Chaffin and Harrison Chaffin, like her grandchildren; Jonathan Thornsberry and Nikita Vundi, three great-great grandchildren; Natalie Martin and two additional, like her great grandchildren; Viktor and Noah Vundi.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one daughter; Margaret Ann Mynhier, two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Brad Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
