Glenn "T-Model" Slone, age 84, of Langley, KY, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born July 26, 1933 in Langley, KY, a son of the late Emory and Julia Bailey Slone. He was retired from the Maintenance Department Floyd County Board of Education, a former coal miner and former President of the Floyd County Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his loving companion, Shelby Blevins, Langley, KY, three sons; James Emerson Slone, Langley, KY, Phillip Clark Slone, Banner, KY and Steven Bryan Slone, Martin, KY, one daughter; Glennis Slone (Greg) Smith, Martin, KY, one sister; Ruby Halbert, Langley, KY, five grandchildren; Dustin Wayne Little, Corey Slone Little, Morgan Brooke Slone Caldwell, Landon Clark Slone and Steven Glenn Slone and 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Martha Lois "Pard" Ellis Slone, three brothers; Ralph Jack, Clarence and Luther Slone, four sisters; Molly Murray, Ruth Martin, Emogene Patton and Imogene Slone.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Thacker officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 6 p.m. Monday and all day Tuesday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
