Emma (Phillips) McSurley

Emma McSurley, age 90, of Lexington, KY, formerly of McDowell, widow of Eddie McSurley, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the St Joseph - East Hospital, Lexington, KY. She was born March 9, 1929 in Seco, KY, a daughter of the late Barney and Margaret Price Phillips. She was a clerk at Martin's Bestway Market and a member of the First Baptist Church, McDowell, KY.

She is survived by one son: Tim (Billie) McSurley, Lexington, KY and one daughter; Linda Karen Diamandi, Venice, FL, eight grandchildren; Amy, Jennifer, Bub, Robin, Nino, Kelli, Eddie, Rico and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Eddie, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Lois Faye Debien, one great-great grandchild; Lukas, three sisters; Edith, Letha, Alma and one brother; Henry.

Funeral service for Mrs. McSurley will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, March 17 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Arnold Turner, Jr officiating. Burial will follow in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation is 2:00-10:00 PM on Saturday with special singing at 7:00 PM at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
