Ellen Frances Chalfant

Ellen Frances Chalfant, age 74, of Knott County, KY, widow of Curtis Chalfant, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert, OH. She was born January 19, 1944, a daughter of the late Floyd and June Hodges Landrum. She was a waitress, homemaker, more importantly a wonderful mother and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two sons; Russell Chalfant, Creedmoor, NC and Curtis Chalfant, Jr, Minster, OH, three daughters; Beverly (Tim) Sexton, New Bremen, OH, Tammy (Gene) Haynes, Hindman, KY, Jeannie Eikenberry, TX, one brother; Donald Landrum, Lufkin, TX, one sister; Opal Lea Turner, Lufkin, TX, special furry friend; Charlie, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother: Kenneth Landrum.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Chalfant will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 20 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Johnnie Collins and Ricky Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Chalfant Family Cemetery, Lackey, KY. Visitation Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
