Dr Edward Darryl Leslie

            Dr. Edward D. Leslie born on December 2, 1941 in Weeksbury, KY, passed away from life on earth on July 8, 2018.  Dr. Leslie resided in Frankfort, KY and Debary, FL.  A graduate of Transylvania University and the University of Kentucky School of Medicine, he practiced as an orthopedic surgeon for 30 years.  He also served in the Vietnam War as a physician.

             He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Edward B.  Leslie and brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Rondall H. Leslie.

             His faithful and loved companion of 38 years Judy Wellman, their 5 grandchildren, Judy’s 2 children (Brad Wellman and Lori Denton) and spouses, his 2 brothers (Dr. Larry Leslie and Dr. Keith Leslie) and sister-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews will miss him deeply. 

            His great loves were practicing medicine, family, history, horses, dogs, golf, and martinis.  

            Dr. Leslie’s distinct personality and intellect generated great respect, and his love and care for others demonstrated his heart.  He was a great man and a life well lived. A private family service will be held at a later date.
