Dixie (Storie) Turner

Dixie Storie Turner, age 91, of Prestonsburg, KY, widow of Orville Turner, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Mountain Manor of Paintsville, KY.  She was born October 5, 1927 in Butler, TN, a daughter of the late William and Amerzee McCloud Storie.  She was a member of the Tram Missionary Baptist and was a retired factory worker.

She is survived by her son; Daryl (Jeanette) Turner, Morrow, OH, four sisters; Francis Stapleton, Orlando, FL, Helen Nicola, Tuscon, AZ, Bonnie Birchwell, Hillsborough, OH and Joyce Cable, Elizabethon, TN, three grandchildren; Nikki, Jacque and Christy, three great grandchildren; Henry, Emmitt and Eleanor.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by four brothers; Ted, Jack, Dan and Doug Storie and three sisters; Ola Patton, Mae Moore and Eula Stumbo.

Funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, KY, visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
