David Dwayne Prater

David Dwayne Prater, age 63, of Deane, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY.  He was born December 23, 1954 in Lackey, KY, a son of the late Muncie and Edith Mae Prater.  He was a US Army Veteran and a sawmill operator.

He is survived by three brothers; Bob Prater, Leesville, LA, Oakie Prater and Larry Prater, both of Garrett, KY, one sister; Wanda Prater Foster, Martin, KY, special niece; Elizabeth Gail Foster, special nephew; Dwayne Foster, a host of other nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.

In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by one brother; Clarence Prater.

Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lackey Cemetery, Lackey, KY, burial will follow, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
