Damon Grant DeRossett

            Damon Grant DeRossett, age 81 of Prestonsburg, KY husband of Barbara Shepherd DeRossett, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 in the Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born January 24, 1937  in Bull Creek, Prestonsburg, KY a son of the late Clell and Nancy Lafferty DeRossett. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association.

            Along with his wife Barbara, he is survived by three sons: David Grant (Gerly) DeRossett, Lexington, KY, Johnny Darrell (Tressie) DeRossett, Eastern, KY and Jeffery Dewayne (Linda) DeRossett, Tallahassee, FL; one daughter: Alva Lynn DeRossett, Gunlock, KY; one brother: Garner DeRossett, OH; two sisters: Goldie Branham and Francis "Frank" Mullins both of Ohio; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

            In addition to his parents, Damon was preceded in death by five brothers: Bill, James, Toby, Sol, Green DeRossett and two sisters: Vera Tussey and Stella DeRossett.

            Funeral service will be conducted Monday, June 25, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY. Burial will follow in the DeRossett Family Cemetery, Bucks Branch, Martin, KY and visitation will be after 4:00 pm Sunday at Hall Funeral Home.
