Clyde Francis Hancock, age 86, of Allen, KY, husband of the late Edith Cline Hancock, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Riverview Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born September 26, 1932 in Printer, KY, a son of the late Herbert and Marie Elizabeth Roberts Hancock. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church, a retired Pastor, retired from the US Army and a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by one son; Earl (Sherry) Cline, two daughters; Pamela Ruiz and Teresa Cline, five grandchildren; James Spencer Utz, Sara Seely, Mary Spradlin, Alanna Cline and J.D. (Angel) Spurlock, five great grandchildren; Grant Roberts, Rylee Spradlin, Reagan Spradlin, Tucker Spradlin and Annalee Spurlock.
In addition to his wife, Edith and his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife: Lou Emma Page Hancock; one son; Clyde Douglas Hancock, two brothers; Thomas and Bobby R. Hancock and one sister; Jacquline Hancock Cline.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Mark Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY, visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
