Claudia A. (Wakeland) Curry

      Claudia A. Wakeland Curry, age 82, of Banner, KY, died Friday, December 1, 2017 in the St. Joseph Martin Hospital, Martin, KY. She was born August 22, 1935 in Pikeville, KY a daughter of the late Harold and Eva Lynn Ousley Wakeland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest S. Curry and a special friend, James Clifford Amburgey. Claudia was a retired bookkeeper for the Floyd County Board of Education, and attended the Calvary Baptist Church, Betsy Layne, KY.

     She is survived by one son, Forrest S. Curry (Cindy), Emma, KY, one daughter; Jennifer A. Brown (Jim), Antioch, TN; "Adoptive Sons"; Daniel Blair, Greg Osborne and Mike Chaffin; nine grandchildren, Brandy L. Everington, Dustin A. Lanham, Misty Spurlock, Michael Paul Curry, Ryan Curry, Scott Warnock, Sean Warnock, Angela Downing, Brad Warnock, and six great grandchildren; Logan C. Spurlock, Laney Spurlock, Dalton J. Everington, Collin C. Everington, Charlotte Warnock and Oakley Downing.

    In addition to her husband, parents and special friend, she was preceded in death by one son, Harold Paul Curry and one daughter; Vera L. Curry Warnock.

    Funeral service for Claudia A. Wakeland Curry will be conducted Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11 AM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Roy Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, visitation is after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
