An angel on earth has received her wings of gold this morning. Billie Jo Segall, better known as (B.J.) to her family and friends lived in Gold Hollow in Wheelwright, KY. B.J. passed away November 1, 2018 at her Mom's home.
B.J. was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Stegall and Billie Lou Yates Stegall, Hi Hat, KY.,. She leaves four sisters; Norma Kay Fairchild (Nick) Paintsville, KY, Lisa Gail Lambert (Scott) Lexington, KY, Deborah Lynn Gibson (Bill), Morehead, KY and Gwen Jones (Jim) Paintsville, KY, one brother; Stan Stegall (Anita) Teaberry, KY.
She also leaves ten nieces and nephews, Matthew, Amanda, Jessica, Nicholas, Brittany, Jeremy, Shawn, Bridgett, Zack and Megan. A host of great nieces and nephews, special friend; Linda June Wilson, Wheelwright, KY, special nephew, Zackary Stegall that B.J. claimed as her son, even though she never had any of her own. She taught many things, but the one thing was how to love and respect others. B.J. impacted his life tremendously. Being an educator herself she taught him the love of knowledge as Zack is going to Alice Lloyd College to become a history teacher.
B.J. loved her community and would do anything for all. She felt love for her former students and the people who lived around her. Family was the most important thing to her and the love for her mother was her greatest.
To our dear daughter, sister, aunt and friend you've spread your wings and you love to everyone, so go rest B.J. we'll see you again someday.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church, with the Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery, Price, Ky, visitation is after 5 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday at the church, under the professional and dignified care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky.
