Barbara Princess (Acree) Martin

Barbara Princess Martin, age 88, of Vanceburg, KY, formerly of Eastern, KY, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Southern Ohio Medical Center, Portsmouth, OH. She was born July 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Thomas Howard Acree and Ida Rebecca Martin. She was a member of the Catholic church and worked as a temporary Postmaster and a substitute teacher.

She is survived by one son: Thomas (Julia) Martin, Winchester, KY, one daughter; Jennifer McManamon, Lexington, KY, one sister; Wanda Caudill, Sidney, OH, four grandchildren; Dewayne and Alan Martin and James and April Curtis and one great grandchild; Juliet Alexander.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Creed Lafon Acree and son in law; Jerry McManamon.

Funeral service for Ms. Martin will be conducted on Thursday, February 15 at 11 AM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Saylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Fred Bailey Cemetery, Eastern, KY. Visitation is 6 - 9 PM Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
