Adeline Stumbo Ward, age 94, of McDowell, KY. Widow of Mitchell Ward. Passed away Friday, July 6, 2018 at the Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 4, 1924 a daughter of the late John Morgan and Bertha Allen Stumbo. She was a homemaker and member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Marcia (Ron) Carter, Okeechobee, FL, two sons; Stanley Mitchell (Anita) Ward, Lawrenceville, GA, John Kevin (Vicki) Ward, Staffordsville, KY, two brothers, Ezra Stumbo, Columbus, OH and John Morgan (Juke) Stumbo, Ft Myers, FL, seven grandchildren; Brian Carter, Amy Ward, Stanley Ward, Rebecca Drage, Joshua Ward, Adam Ward and Mitch Ward, as well as four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Justine Hess, Imogene Stumbo, Willodene Irwin and three brothers; Isom, Charles and Ancil Stumbo, and one granddaughter, Sarah.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ward will be conducted Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11 AM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with Brother Ruben Lykins officiating. Burial will follow in the Lucy Hall Cemetery, McDowell, KY. Visitation will be after 6 PM Monday and all day Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home, with church service each evening.
