Abel Parsons

     Abel Parsons, age 78, of Eastern, KY, husband of Barbara Stephens Parsons, died Monday, May 14, 2018 in the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, KY. He was born September 19, 1939 in Blue Moon, KY a son of the late Noah and Plina Jane Hall Parsons. Abel was a retired coal miner and member of the Spurlock Church of Christ.

    Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Alicia) Parsons and Mickie Ray (Melissa) Parsons, one daughter; Jennie (William) Hughes, all of Printer, KY;  one sister, Linda Stewart, Harold, fourteen grandchildren; Brandy Nichole Parsons Vanderpool, Taran Rae Parsons, Mickie Ray Parsons II, Alexis Danielle Zane, Laken Shree Parsons, Anthony Chase Parsons, Austin Trace Parsons, Libby Ann Hughes, Brittney Nikkole Hughes, William Ronald Hughes II, Tiffany Joyce Hughes, Natasha Lachay Parsons, Zander Quade Ray Parsons, Noah Albert Abel Parsons, and three great grandchildren.

    In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer Parsons, Orville Parsons, three sisters; Ellen Dey, Mabel Lay, Berniece Parsons, and one grandchild; Cierra Christan Grace Parsons.

    Funeral service for Abel Parsons will be conducted Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12 noon in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with the Church of Christ Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Parsons Family Cemetery, Honaker, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
