Charles Ray Salyers

Charles Ray Salyers, age 76, of Auxier, KY, husband of Patricia Litz Salyers, died Friday, November 24, 2017 in the Riverview Healthcare Center, Prestonsburg, KY. He was born September 25, 1941 in Prestonsburg, a son the late Woodrow and Sadie Shepherd Salyers. Charles was a retired Brakeman for CSX Railroad and a member of the Auxier Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Danny Jeff Bingham, Austin, TX, Chip (Elizabeth) Salyers, Pikeville, KY, and three grandchildren; Carson, Cate, and Caroline Salyers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers; Gene, Doug and Woodrow Salyers Jr.

Funeral service for Charles Ray Salyers will be conducted Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, with William J. Baird III presiding. Burial will follow in the Auxier Relocation Cemetery, Auxier, KY. Visitation is Saturday 1 - 9 PM, with the Hall Funeral Home caring for those arrangements.
